UHS needed to transform its field service business by automating scheduling and optimizing resource utilization. The company relied on a legacy scheduling system to plan workloads and daily routes for its field technicians, but the process was largely manual and lacked the features necessary to streamline operations effectively.
Solution
ivision was contracted to implement Microsoft Dynamics for Field Service with Resource Scheduling Optimization (RSO). By leveraging Microsoft Power Automate, Bing Maps Integration and a Power Apps Portal, ivision was able to provide technicians with real-time mobile access to RSO. This delivered a customer-facing portal that enables customers to schedule appointments directly based on technician availability.
